Six people charged during Operation Supress - Taree

Police have charged six people during a high-visibility operation in the state’s north.

Yesterday (Thursday 10 September 2026), officers attached to Manning Great Lakes Police District – assisted by Traffic and Highway Patrol Command and the Dog Unit – saturated the Taree area under Operation Supress targeting a suppression in crime and anti-social behaviour including pushbike offences.

As a result of the operation, police arrested and charged six people for offences relating to family and domestic violence, traffic, knives and breach of bail.

Officers also issued seven infringement notices for not wear helmet, one infringement notice for ride bicycle use mobile phone and seven warnings to youths for not wear helmet.
